Sequence involves tactical planning and quick decision-making, much like the intricate workflows behind the scenes of your favorite blockbuster films. It requires adaptability, as wild cards (two-eyed Jacks) allow bold moves, while one-eyed Jacks sabotage rivals.
Invented in the 1980s by Douglas Reuter, this classic combines card strategy with board gameplay, challenging players to form two sequences of five chips while skillfully blocking their opponents.
HOW TO PLAY THE GAME
Number of Players | 2 to 6 players |
---|---|
Dealing Rules | The number of cards dealt to each player varies by the number of people playing:
|
Gameplay | Players take turns in clockwise order, playing one card from their hand and placing a chip on the corresponding space on the board. |
Scores and Winning | Players do not score points in the traditional sense; the goal is to achieve sequences. A sequence of five chips of the same colour equals a win. A team wins by creating two sequences of five chips in a row, or in some versions, just one sequence depending on house rules. If a player makes an illegal move (e.g., placing a chip in the wrong spot), the move may be reversed; repeated infractions could lead to disqualification. |
